IRGC conferences may be single-themed or more general in nature and may be jointly organised with partners. They may take the form of symposia or annual events and include roundtables, workshops or public talks. Providing a platform to identify, frame and draw attention to risk issues for governments, business leaders and the risk analysis community, IRGC conferences also provide an opportunity to present IRGC work to a wider public and allow the IRGC network to meet and exchange ideas.
The IRGC Governmental Forum on Risk Governance was a neutral platform for representatives of government agencies to discuss matters related to risk governance in the context of a whole-of-government approach. It is now continued at the OECD High-Level Risk Forum.
